Here at First Lutheran, we are interested in serving our neighborhood and community with the wonderful news of Eternal Life. You find this news only in God's letter to us, the Bible, upon which we base our message.
We also believe you can never learn too much about your final destination. That is why we support a full range of Christian education opportunities here at First Lutheran. No matter what your age is, you will find an opportunity to study God's Word.
Come and worship with us weekly. During the school year, we have opportunities for worship and adult Bible study, and we assist with children's Christian education.
For our latest vieos and sermons please see our Facebook page here.
SO WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?
Christ calls everyone to the truth. He also commands all Christians to spread the good news of His salvation from sin, death and the power of the devil. First Evangelical Lutheran Church is open to everone who is seeking redemption from their sins. The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This tells us that everone needs what only Jesus Christ could provide. He suffered the weight of the world so that we could inherit and eternity in heaven by believing in him.
A CALL TO PERSEVERE IN FAITH
19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
